What the Earnings page shows you

  • Period — the year and quarter you’re looking at.
  • Sankey — a flow diagram from revenue through costs to profit, so you see which lines drove the result.
  • Summary — Sterling’s read on the period, with a path into the full analysis in the Analyst.
  • Earnings Calls — the call’s audio, a transcript with each speaker named, and Sterling’s time-stamped commentary, live for covered calls.

Where to find it

  1. Open the company, then select Research under its name in the left-hand navigation.
  2. In the tab bar at the top, select Earnings.

Using the Earnings page

Choose the period

Use Previous year and Next year to move between years, then select a period from the buttons beside them. Periods with nothing to show are grayed out. Which periods are available depends on the view:
  • Sankey steps through the company’s fiscal periods. Full covers the whole fiscal year.
  • Earnings Calls steps through the calendar quarters its calls report on. The year reads CY 2026.
The year and quarter you select carry over when you switch views. When that quarter has no call, the selection moves to the most recent quarter of that year with one.

Read the Sankey

The Sankey view opens by default. Revenue enters on the left and flows through costs to operating profit, with each block labeled with its value. The widths show which lines drove the result. Select a block to ask the Analyst about that line.

Summary

Sterling’s key points for the period sit beside the chart. Hover the summary for Read in analyst, and select it to open the longer write-up in the Analyst.

Follow the earnings call

  1. Switch to Earnings Calls and select play in the call player.
  2. Read along in the transcript beneath the player. Each turn is labeled with the speaker.
  3. Follow Sterling commentary on the right. Select a note’s timestamp to jump the audio and transcript to that moment. Select the note to take it into the Analyst while the call keeps playing.
  4. During a live call, select Jump to the live edge of the call to catch up.
The Earnings Calls view opens on the most recent recorded call. A company with none recorded yet opens on its next scheduled call. That call shows its date and time until it starts. When it starts, the transcript and commentary appear live. When you leave the page, the call keeps playing in a compact player in the left-hand navigation. Select Close call player there to stop it.

Frequently asked questions

Which calls are covered?

Live call coverage began in August 2026, so most earlier quarters have no recording. A company outside live coverage says so on the Earnings Calls view.

Why is a call grouped under a different quarter than its title?

Earnings Calls groups each call under the calendar quarter it reports on. The call’s title names the fiscal quarter, such as Fiscal Q3 2026. The two differ when the company’s fiscal year doesn’t end in December.

Can I keep listening while I look at something else?

Yes. The call carries on in the compact player in the left-hand navigation until you select Close call player.

What does the Sankey show that the income statement doesn’t?

The same figures, drawn as flows, so the lines that moved the result stand out by width instead of having to be read off a table.
