What you can do in the Events Calendar

  • Corporate and Economic — company events, or scheduled macro releases, on the same calendar.
  • Day, Week and Month — a single-day agenda, or a weekday grid for the week or the month.
  • Filter — keep it to particular companies, event types, industries and market caps, or search for one name.
  • Event cards — each event with its time and a CON or UNC tag for a confirmed or unconfirmed date.

Where to find it

Select Events Calendar in the left-hand navigation.

Using the Events Calendar

Move around the calendar

  • Switch between Day, Week and Month at the top of the calendar to change how much time it shows.
  • Previous and Next step one day, week or month at a time. Today snaps back.
  • Jump to date opens a mini-calendar to go straight to a day.

Focus on particular companies

With Corporate selected, select Filter and pick from:
  • Companies, searched by ticker or name.
  • Event type, such as Earnings call, Conference or Dividend.
  • Industries and Market cap.
The button shows how many filters are active, and Clear all resets them. To narrow to a company or event name without setting a filter, type in Search events.

Check the macro schedule

Switch from Corporate to Economic, beside the search box. The calendar shows scheduled economic releases for the same range. The filters don’t apply here, but Search events does.

Event cards

Each card shows the event name, its time or TBD, and a CON or UNC tag for a confirmed or unconfirmed date. The legend above the calendar explains the two. Select the company on a card to open its Overview when Sterling covers it. For an earnings call Sterling covers, the company’s Earnings tab carries the call. See Reviewing a company’s earnings.

Frequently asked questions

Which time zone are the times in?

Times are shown as the source publishes them. Check the event’s own announcement if the hour matters.

The week view is missing Saturday and Sunday.

The week and month views show only the five weekdays. To see a Saturday or Sunday, switch to Day and step to it.

Why is an event tagged UNC?

The company hasn’t formally announced the date yet. Sterling shows the expected date and the tag changes to CON once it’s announced.

Can I see events for just one company?

Yes. Type it in Search events, or add it under Companies in the filters.
