The left-hand navigation

The navigation on the left is the same on every page.
  • Trading Pit, Terminal, Research Library, Trade Ideas and Events Calendar — the main areas, top to bottom.
  • My Portfolio — your connected brokerage accounts as one book.
  • The last company you opened, with its Overview, Research and Priced In pages under its name.
  • At the bottom, your avatar, which opens the account menu, and the player for any earnings call or podcast that’s playing.
Collapse the navigation with the control at the top. It shrinks to icons.

The top bar

  • Search companies — type a name or ticker and pick from the results to open that company.
  • The Guide button, with the tooltip Open Guide, opens the voice guide, which can walk you through any feature on screen.

The Analyst

The Analyst is collapsed into a narrow bar on the right edge. Select it, or press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows), to open the chat beside the page you’re on. The Analyst isn’t available on the Trading Pit.

Using Sterling without an account

You can read, search and share threads on the Trading Pit without an account, and read any research report someone shares with you. Sterling’s other research and tools need an account with an active trial or plan. See Creating your account.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I manage my account?

Select your avatar at the bottom of the left-hand navigation and choose Account. The Account window has your profile, security, agreements, plan, usage and invoices. See Managing your account details.

Why is a company still in the navigation?

The navigation keeps the last company you opened, so you can go back to it. Open another company to replace it.
